When building a report from scratch, the totals or sub-totals may need to be added in. Learn the three main ways to add them into a report below!
Add in Grand Total

1 | Navigate to the DATA menu and select Edit Totals. |

2 | Click on the Grand Total checkbox and click OK. |
 |
3 | Now a Grand Total will appear at the bottom of your report. |

Add Totals to the PAGE-BY Axis

2 | Click on the Advanced tab. |

3 | Under the Pages drop-down menu, click on All Subtotals. |

4 | Click on the Display tab.

5 | Under the Subtotal positions by page section, select the Top of each level circle to display the subtotals at the top of the report and select OK. | 
|
6 | Totals will now be displayed at the top of all the PAGE-BY drop-down menus. |

Add Sub-Totals to Categories within the Report

1 | Navigate to the DATA menu and select Edit Totals. |

2 | Click on the All Subtotals checkbox. |

3 | Click on the Advanced tab. |

3 | Click on the Across Level circle. |

4 | Select all desired attribute checkboxes to display a subtotal at each level within the report. | 
|
5 | Click the Display tab to change how the subtotals are shown. | 
|
6 | Under the Subtotal positions by row section, select the Top of each level circle to display the subtotals at the top of the report and click OK. | 
|
7 | Now subtotals across all selected row attributes will be displayed at the top, eliminating the need to scroll down to the bottom to see them! |
