Some Retailers or Trading Partners will not provide certain data (I.e., Retail Sales Dollars). However, there is a solution, and it is called Integrated Metrics (INT). Think of Integrated Metrics as calculated values that can fill in the gaps where data is not provided by your Retailer or Trading Partner.
Non-Integrated Metrics
Non-Integrated Metrics (all metrics that do not include "INT") show the exact data that your Trading Partner sends to SPS Commerce. If your Trading Partner does not send the metric to SPS Commerce, this value will show as blank.
In the example below, "TY WTD RTL SLS" is blank because the Trading Partner does not provide Retail Sales.
Integrated Metrics (INT)
When your Trading Partner does not send the metric to SPS Commerce, Integrated Metrics will be calculated using values from your Item Master or Item Account file.
In the example below, the Retailer is not providing Retail Sales (TY WTD RTL SLS) identified by the blank cells in it's column. Therefore, "This Year Week-To-Date Retail Sales - Integrated Metrics" (TY WTD RTL SLS-INT) can be used as an estimate instead because it is calculated off the "Manufacturer Suggested Retail Price" (MSRP) that was provided in your Item Master or Item Account.
MSRP x Unit Sales = TY WTD RTL SLS-INT
๐ก IMPORTANT NOTE: Integrated Metrics will FIRST default to report what your Retailer or Trading Partner provides to SPS Commerce. Only when the activity metric is not provided, will the Integrated Metric be calculated using values (Cost or MSRP) from your Item Master or Item Account file. As a best practice, always add INT Metrics to your report.
