Rename Metrics and Attributes

Edit a Metric or Attribute Name in Performance Analytics as a Power User

Power Users have the ability to rename attributes and metrics in Performance Analytics.

Rename a Metric or Attribute in a Dashboard

Here are the steps to rename the Style attribute to Style Number in a Dashboard:

Open any dashboard.

Example:

  1. Navigate to the: Dashboards folder.

  2. Strategic Dashboards folder.

  3. Select the Product Gap Analysis dashboard.

Right-click on the metric or attribute and select Rename.

Example: STYLE.

Rename STYLE to STYLE NUMBER.

Select Save.

Now all STYLE attributes are renamed as STYLE NUMBER.

To save, click on the File icon and select Save.


Rename a Metric or Attribute in a Report

Here are the steps to rename the Style attribute to Style Number in a Report:

Open any report.

Example:

  1. Navigate to the: Dashboards folder

  2. Best Practice Reports folder

  3. Select the Basic Selling Report

Right-click on the metric or attribute and select Rename.

Example: STYLE.

Rename STYLE to Style Number.

Select OK.

Now all STYLE attributes both in the Column Header and the REPORT OBJECTS folder are renamed as Style Number.

To save, click on the floppy disk logo.


Rename a Metric or Attribute in a Report into a Different Language

Here are the steps to change a metric or attribute in a report from English into French:

Open any report.

💡Tip: The below example is if you are creating a custom report from scratch, to skip to the renaming action, jump to Step 5 below.

Example:

  1. Click on the Create button to build a new report.

  2. Select Time Range Analysis > Weekly Trend.

Prompt Screen:

  1. Select the desired Retailer Calendar.

  2. Click on Rolling Weeks.

  3. Double-click or use the arrow to select any desired Retailers.

  4. Click on the desired Currency.

  5. Click the Edit in Design Mode button.

  1. Select the desired End Date.

  2. Type in the desired amount of Backward Rolling Weeks.

  3. Type in the desired amount of Forward Rolling Weeks.

  4. Click the Edit in Design Mode button.

Drag and drop any desired attributes and metrics into the report.

Screenshot Examples:

  • Open the Performance Analytics Attributes folder > Location folder and Double-click to add in: Retailer.

  • Open the This Year folder and Double-click to add in:

    • TY UNIT SLS GROSS

    • TY UNIT RETURNS

    • TY UNITS SLS

    • TY EOW UNITS OH

  • Click on the Week attribute within the Report Body and drag it to the right of Metrics.

Click on the Spreadsheet Lightning Bolt icon in the upper left corner to Run the Report.

Right-click on the metric or attribute and select Rename.

Example: TY UNIT SLS GROSS.

Under the Name box, type in the new desired translation of the metrics name and click OK.

French Example: Qtes vendues (brut).

Continue Steps 5 and 6 until all Metric and Attributes are renamed to your preferred language.

To save, click on the floppy disk logo.
