How to Update and Rename a Calculated Metric

Power Users Can Edit and Rename Metrics in Performance Analytics

Power Users have the ability to edit calculated metrics such as the Inventory RTL or UNIT Need (+) or Overage (-) for 8 WOS metric found in the Inventory Opportunities Report.

Let's walk through the steps on how to update the amount of weeks from 8 to 6 for this metric!

How to Update and Rename a Calculated Metric

The Inventory Opportunities Report is located in the Dashboards folder within the Best Practice Reports folder.

Right-click on the Inventory RTL or UNIT Need (+) or Overage (-) for 8 WOS metric and select Edit.

Update the 8 in the calculation to the desired 6 amount of Weeks of Supply.

Click on Validate to update the calculation.

Valid metric formula confirmation will appear.

Rename the Metric

Under Display Name, scroll over to the 8 and update it to 6 to rename the metric column header name.

Click Save.

The Metric calculation and name have both been updated from 8 to 6 Weeks of Supply (WOS)!


How to Identify a Calculated Metric

In any report, you can identify a calculated metric under the REPORT OBJECTS folder where the Ruler Bookcase Icon has a "fx" on it.

Right-click on any of the "fx" metrics (Example: TY WTD Discount %), select Edit, and follow the same steps above to change the calculation of the metric.
